A farm on a mission
To steward land, feed stomachs & celebrate the natural world
Maitri Farm is located on the NY-CT border along the Webatuck Creek in Amenia, NY. Growing both Certified Organic produce and cut flowers, Maitri aims to provide the best in nutrition and beauty to our local community. Our produce and flowers are always harvested-to-order, guaranteeing consistent quality and freshness for our CSA members, wholesale partners & a weekly on-farm store.
We are committed to responsible land stewardship, working carefully to preserve the surrounding wetlands and waterways, reducing erosion and expanding wildlife habitats with the goal of preserving the farm for the exposure and education of the community to the agricultural and natural spaces held therein.
Maitri has roots in the word "MITRA", meaning "Friend”, the first of the four sublime states taught by the Buddha. Sometimes translated as “benevolence”, it is the disposition of love pervading in all directions and embracing all beings.
Certified Organic Produce
Heirloom tomatoes & certified organic produce harvested-to-order for restaurant partners, CSA members & on-farm store.
Cut Flowers
5 acres of specially curated flowers are grown to organic standards & harvested daily, providing fresh cut flowers for wholesale partners, CSA members, events & more.
Flower & Vegetable CSA
Community-Shared Agriculture programs give weekly access to farm-fresh produce and just-cut bouquets with twice weekly pick-up on the farm.
Our Farm Store is Expanding
Our weekly farm stand is growing and we’re excited to share the progress with you. Stay tuned for a grand reopening next Spring.
Women in Agriculture
Our farm is proudly woman owned and operated and proud to support farmers of all ages, stages and experience level on their agricultural journey. Our farm is a safe and accepting space for all people, from every walk of life.
The Three Little Pigs Foundation
In 2023 a nonprofit foundation was established with the goal of supporting Maitri Farm as we work hard on developing the farm as a community resource focused on supporting food access programs, preserving and restoring natural resources and wildlife habitat, being a resource for education and experience for developing farmers and encouraging our neighbors to get outside and enjoy the farm by joining us on Open Farm Days and touring the extensive production fields and en plein air art collection.
