🌿 Farm Questions

Maitri Farm is a 100-acre certified organic farm in Amenia, New York, in the Hudson Valley. We grow fresh vegetables, cut flowers, and seasonal fruits for families and households throughout Dutchess County and surrounding areas.

We're at 143 Amenia Union Road, Amenia, NY 12501. We're about 2 hours from New York City and 30 minutes from Poughkeepsie, serving Dutchess County, Columbia County, and Northwest Connecticut including Amenia, Dover Plains, Millerton, Millbrook, Sharon CT, Lakeville CT, and Kent CT.

During our growing season (April through November), we're typically open Friday 12-5pm and Saturday 9am-1pm. Hours may vary by season, so we recommend checking our website or social media for current hours before visiting.

Depending on the season, you'll find certified organic vegetables, fresh-cut flowers, fruit from our orchard, and honey from our bees. Availability changes throughout the growing season because we harvest what's ready, when it's ready. We also source for the farm stand local goods like eggs, bread, and cheese.

We're certified organic by NOFA-NY (Northeast Organic Farming Association of New York) and Real Organic Project certified. These certifications mean we maintain soil quality, use only approved pest and weed control methods, avoid synthetic chemicals, and follow sustainable farming practices verified by our certifying agencies.

Not at all. The farm stand is open to everyone during posted hours. CSA membership is a separate option for those who want a weekly share of the harvest throughout the season.

"Maitri" is a Sanskrit word meaning loving-kindness, friendliness, and benevolence. For us, it represents our commitment to caring for the land, the food we grow, and the people who gather around it.

We offer delivery to wholesale accounts within 25 miles with a delivery fee. We do not offer delivery to private residences at this time.
🥕 Vegetable CSA Questions

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. When you join our CSA, you purchase a seasonal share of the farm's harvest. In return, you receive fresh, certified organic produce each week during the growing season.

Our organic vegetable CSA is a great fit if you cook regularly at home, value organic seasonal produce, want to support local agriculture, and enjoy discovering what's in season.

We offer four CSA programs: Full Share Summer CSA (16 weeks, 10-15 items per week), Half Share Summer CSA (16 weeks, 8-12 items per week), Summer Combo CSA (5 weeks of flowers and vegetables), and Fall Vegetable CSA (6 weeks, 4-6 items per week).

Each week, members receive a selection of seasonal organic vegetables grown at the farm. The exact contents vary based on what's ready to harvest. A typical July box might include heirloom tomatoes, summer squash, cucumbers, peppers, lettuce, herbs, and seasonal fruit.

🌸 Flower CSA Questions and General Questions About Flowers

Yes. We offer seasonal flower shares featuring fresh-cut blooms grown our flower fields. Our flower CSA runs during peak growing season and delivers a weekly bouquet of whatever is blooming beautifully that week.

Flowers vary by season but may include specialty blooms, heirloom varieties, and field-grown seasonal favorites like dahlias, zinnias, sunflowers, cosmos, snapdragons, celosia, and more. We grow for color, texture, and vase life.

Absolutely! Flower CSA shares make wonderful gifts. Contact us to arrange a gift share, and we'll work with you on pickup details for the recipient.

Yes, when available. During the growing season, we typically have bouquets and buckets of stems available for purchase at the farm stand. Flower availability depends on what's blooming that week with priority going to our Flower CSA members.

We occasionally offer wholesale flowers to florists, event planners, and restaurants depending on the season and supply. Please contact us directly for availability, pricing, and minimum order requirements.

Yes. We offer custom floral installations for events and weddings using seasonal blooms from the farm. Each project is unique and based on what's growing at the time of your event. Contact us early to discuss your vision and timeline with our team.

🌎Seasonal Farm & General Questions

We only offer delivery for wholesale and restaurant accounts. All CSA shares and farm stand purchases are picked up at the farm in Amenia, NY.

We occasionally offer farm tours and workshops. Check our Events page or follow us on social media for upcoming opportunities to visit.

Absolutely. We’ve been honored to host private retreats, business events, and even a 300 member bicycle tour group. Each event is different. Please contact us with details on your event, number of attendees, and requested time of the year. And we will work with you to see what we can make happen.
